How Do I Report Invalid Clicks to Adsense?

Hey guys,

I just checked my account and noticed that in between two updates, the number of clicks I received had jumped from 31 to 56, without any changes in the dollar amount, in a matter of minutes. I'm obviously troubled by this, as these are all clearly invalid clicks.

Is this something that Google is on top of, or should I notify them of it? I obviously don't want to get into trouble for something that I have had nothing to do with.

Thanks for that Gracey.

I checked Google Analytics, and all of the 25 clicks were on one single page, so there's no question that it was just someone messing around.  I'm quite angry about this, but at least Google seems to be able to keep track of things like that.

I'm not sure if I should still contact them, or whether they will take care of things on their own.  I just hope that they don't think I had anything to do with it. Urgh.

I'm new to this, so...
How can we distinguish invalid clicks from legitamate site growth. When our site's popularity starts taking off should we panic and take out all the adds?
I'm a small publisher, with a small ambition, to make enough money to pay the internet bill.
The burden shouldn't be exclusivelly placed on the publisher, since I've heard some companies generate clicks on the ads of the competition to increase the competion ads cost, to force them out and take their place.
Google has advanced tools to detect such fraud, it wouldn't hurt to share the information about suspected invalid traffic before banning an account and hurt the small upstart publisher..
